Job Description

At IPAR, we seek highly skilled professionals with experience in Social Work to join our Occupational Rehabilitation team in Wollongong and Nowra NSW.

This role offers flexibility and autonomy, with the support of a strong team of healthcare professionals and a global corporate infrastructure.

As an Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist, you will provide services to clients with various conditions, supporting them to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Case Management: Manage caseloads with the support of Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks.
  • Return to Work Outcomes: Apply clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes.
  • Injury Prevention and Workplace Education Programs: Develop and implement programs with employers and employees.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals.
  • Schemes and Programs: Work across various schemes such as workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs.
  • Assessment and Support: Complete assessments using clinical skills, including initial, workplace, and vocational assessments to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers to employment, and identify suitable employment opportunities for workers who have sustained workplace injuries or injuries sustained from motor vehicle accidents.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will be a driven and energetic professional with:

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Social Work: Registered AASW.
  • Experience in Occupational Rehabilitation: Previous experience would be highly regarded.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Compassion and Empathy: Provide high-quality care and support.
  • Time Management Skills: Prioritize tasks and manage your workload effectively.
  • Current NSW Driver's License and Comprehensive Insurance: Essential for the role.

About Your Salary

The estimated annual salary range for this role is AU$85,000 - AU$105,000 based on location and industry standards.
