Operations Coordinator
About the RoleThe Operations Coordinator will play a critical role in ensuring seamless operation of underground systems. This includes efficient dispatch of haulage fleet, monitoring machine and location statuses, and validation of data.
- Evaluate and prioritize tasks to optimize operational efficiency.
- Monitor and manage underground signs and surface cones register, and communicate hazards effectively.
- Investigate data discrepancies and update information as needed.
- Manage underground infrastructure via Citect monitoring systems, including ventilation, water sprays, and pump stations.
- Coordinate responses to faults and assist in emergency response.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience in a mine control room or comparable environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of underground mining environments and relevant regulations.
- Highly developed computer literacy skills with Microsoft Office suite and Citect system.
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation and mining regulations.
- Able to foster strong safety culture through open communication.
- Proven problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Self-directed and able to work autonomously to achieve goals.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Able to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
