Cost Controller Role

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our mining infrastructure group as a key member of the team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the industry in delivering metals and minerals required for a greener future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and manage initial project cost and schedule baseline for mining infrastructure studies and projects.
  • Prepare and review relevant project documentation, articulating project controls processes to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Partake in client-facing roles, resolving issues and understanding client needs.
  • Oversee claim life cycle from initiation to processing, supporting study managers in reviewing and reporting on progress costs.
  • Review reports and other outputs, providing technical input into diverse range of projects, ensuring compliance with quality systems and client requirements.
  • Support preparation and costing of high-quality proposals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree (Finance/Engineering) or equivalent relevant tertiary education.
  • Demonstrated industry experience on both multidisciplinary mining projects and studies.
  • Experience in cost control and earned value management.
  • Independent thinker able to challenge norms, develop new ideas.
  • Proficient in MS Office and cost/finance software reporting packages.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work virtually and face-to-face within a team environment.
