Job Title: HSS Manager

  • Develop and lead a strong capable team across sites and sub-disciplines to deliver effective health, safety, and security services to operational customers.
  • Establish effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Define and drive effectiveness and standardization of processes in partnership with peers across the organization.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans in collaboration with operational and functional partners, with a particular focus on health and safety.
  • Support the delivery of key priorities and objectives related to health, safety, and security.
  • Build capability and capacity within project teams through coaching, mentoring, and advice on health, safety, and security strategy, systems, and procedures.
  • Participate in the governance of health, safety, and security programs and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in health, safety, and security or a related field.
  • Experience in projects or construction is highly regarded.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills with a demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence internal and external stakeholders at a senior management level.
  • Well-developed professional technical expertise in one or more health, safety, and security areas.
  • Tertiary degree in a health, safety, security, and emergency management or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Detailed knowledge of key concepts, theories, and practices related to effective management of health, safety, and security-related risks.
