The Communication Specialist will oversee the development and implementation of innovative communication strategies, products, and activities in line with the organization's priorities. This role is responsible for communicating effectively with various audiences, including media professionals, the public, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans, ensuring consistency with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
- Design and produce engaging content, including social media posts, press releases, articles, and multimedia materials.
- Foster relationships with media professionals, responding promptly to inquiries and requests for information.
- Coordinate events, exhibitions, and other promotional activities to raise awareness about the organization's mission and activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues from various departments to ensure a unified approach to communication.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an international humanitarian context.
- Excellent writing, speaking, and presentation skills, with a strong ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong understanding of media dynamics, including social media platforms and their potential uses.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
