Job Opportunity:

This is an exceptional chance to work as a full-time or part-time, permanent Anaesthetist at a leading hospital in Central Queensland.

As a senior member of the anaesthetic team, you will be responsible for providing pre- and peri-operative anaesthetic care to patients and will have input into the management of patients in the High Dependency Unit and in emergency situations when on duty.

The department is an accredited training facility and thus you will be required to supervise medical professionals, including Principal House Officers, Junior House Officers, and Interns, Registrars, and Provisional Fellows.

The range of services delivered to the community continues to grow, as does the Anaesthesia service. As a result, more specialists are needed to support the growing population.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for this position, you must hold the FANZCA or postgraduate qualifications and experience in anaesthetics that meet ANZCA requirements for practising in this role or have equivalent qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide high-quality pre- and peri-operative anaesthetic care to patients.
  2. Contribute to the management of patients in the High Dependency Unit and in emergency situations.
  3. Supervise and mentor medical professionals, including Principal House Officers, Junior House Officers, and Interns, Registrars, and Provisional Fellows.
