About the Role

The Senior Staff Specialist/Staff Specialist (Otolaryngology) plays a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality Otolaryngology services within Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS). This position is responsible for assisting the Director of Surgery in maintaining the highest standards of service delivery and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the education and supervision of surgical trainees and other medical staff, medical students, allied health professionals, and nursing staff.
  • Provide clinical services at various facilities within CQHHS, as well as at the Mater Hospital, Rockhampton, as needed.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless service delivery and patient care.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Mandatory qualifications: MBBS or equivalent, eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Qualifications and experience suitable for registration as a Specialist in Otolaryngology in Australia, including Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
  • Ongoing commitment to professional development and maintenance of a CME program.
