Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Firmware Developer to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing firmware for our cutting-edge motorcycle helmets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and integrate firmware modules for our helmet systems.
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers and product managers to ensure firmware meets product requirements.
  • Work closely with hardware teams and chip vendors to bring up and validate hardware.
  • Guide and coordinate firmware development efforts across local and overseas teams.
  • Research and create proof-of-concepts for future product technologies.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in embedded software/firmware development.
  • Strong C programming skills and expertise in firmware development for consumer electronic products.
  • Proficient in low-level interrupt handling, device drivers, and high-level media applications.
  • Experience with network architecture, internet protocols (TCP, IP, UDP, mDNS), and network application programming.
  • Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy and Bluetooth Classic Audio profiles (HFP, HSP, A2DP).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and as a consummate team player.

Bonus Points:

  • Good understanding of an embedded system RTOS such as Linux, ThreadX, uItron, etc.
  • Familiarity with WiFi communication.
