About the Role

We are seeking highly motivated and suitably qualified teachers to join our team at Good Samaritan Catholic Primary School. As a classroom teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing learning environment where children are respected, their voices are heard, and they feel safe and are safe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and promote our Catholic school vision
  • Engage in the ongoing development of the school as an inclusive Catholic community
  • Design teaching and learning experiences that are purposeful, engaging, and meaningful for every child in your care
  • Develop respectful, learning-centred relationships with children and their families
  • Communicate effectively with children, colleagues, parents/carers, and community members
  • Engage with colleagues in a cycle of continuous inquiry and learning about effective teaching practice
  • Participate in the broader life of the school, including the Sacramental program, camps, and community events
  • Behave professionally and ethically in all forums
Requirements
  • Understanding of the ethos of a Catholic school and commitment to its mission
  • Commitment to the safety, wellbeing, and protection of all children in our care
  • Appropriate registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching
  • Accreditation to teach Religious Education
