Job Description

We are seeking an accomplished Financial Professional to assume a key role within our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing core accounting functions, overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable cycles, and ensuring compliance with Australian tax laws.

The role involves collaborating across departments to optimise payment cycles and billing structures, making meaningful contributions to finance and sustainability goals. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing end-to-end accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate invoice processing, timely approvals, payments, and effective three-way matching.
  • Monitoring vendor accounts, managing aging reports, and guaranteeing prompt payments while resolving disputes or discrepancies.
  • Evaluating and maintaining full compliance with GST regulations, withholding tax requirements, and internal financial controls.
  • Closely collaborating with procurement and operations teams to enhance payment cycle efficiency and support seamless business operations.
  • Managing billing and collection processes for accounts receivable, ensuring timely invoicing, customer account reconciliations, and maintaining accurate AR balances.
  • Driving collection efforts by monitoring AR aging reports, engaging stakeholders, and conducting credit risk assessments.
  • Orienting billing structures and payment terms through close cooperation with business development and commercial teams.
  • Maintaining accuracy and integrity of financial transactions, managing month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
  • Supporting the preparation of financial statements, variance analysis, management reporting, as well as external and internal audits.

To excel in this role, you will bring extensive experience navigating complex approval processes and adapting quickly to evolving priorities. Your deep understanding of Australian accounting standards and practical knowledge of GST regulations ensures statutory obligations are met without compromise.
