About the Role

AUS Medtronic Australia is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Specialist to join our team. As a Clinical Specialist, you will play a critical role in assisting surgeons with technical support in the operating theatre when implanting a Sacral Neuromodulator and providing ongoing care for patients who have received therapy pre- and post-procedure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Territory Managers to understand the clinical and service needs of specific customers and provide the highest level of clinical service and technical support.
  • Support Territory Managers through aligned promotion and selling of defined Medtronic products & services to key specialists and technical staff.
  • Collaborate with Territory Managers and broader team to actively participate in quarterly business reviews and business planning and execute agreed actions.
  • Proactively meet with Territory Managers and other Clinical Specialists (CSs) in managing case coverage requirements for the state.
  • Play a lead role with technical in-services, presentations and training to specified customers.
  • Effectively communicate with Territory Managers and other relevant stakeholders to provide optimal support to implanting surgeons and patients.
  • Consistently set and meet quarterly performance goals.
  • Support Territory Managers with inventory control, including the expedited delivery of stock to customers as needed.
  • Ensure the highest level of product knowledge is attained and maintained.
  • Monitor field inventory effectively to ensure appropriate levels of inventory in each location relative to demand.
  • Complete cycle counts of all required field locations on time and follow up on any missing stock.
  • Retrieve all expiring products from field locations and return them to the warehouse before expiry.
  • Perform duties in compliance with the local Quality System.
  • Perform duties in compliance with environmental, health and safety-related site rules, policies or governmental regulations.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
  • Travel requirement: approximately 25%.
Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing qualifications, a general science degree, or similar preferred.
  • At least 2 years' experience as a Clinical Specialist or equivalent technical medical experience.
  • Strong clinical and business relationships with customers.
  • Advanced understanding of internal workings of hospital labs/theatres/departments e.g. purchasing, consignment, clinics, patient & implant scheduling and key influencers.
  • Computer literacy including sound knowledge of the MS Office suite of software.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license.
