Job Description

We're looking for a highly skilled professional with proficient programming skills in Python, advanced SQL knowledge, and experience with Snowflake, dbt, and AWS Lambda. As a Data Lead, you'll be responsible for optimising and scaling our existing data warehouse, enhancing ETL/ELT pipelines, refining data models, and implementing effective solutions to drive business impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Data Infrastructure Development: Optimise and scale our existing Snowflake data warehouse to meet growing data needs efficiently.
  2. ETL/ELT Pipeline Enhancement: Enhance and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines built with dbt and AWS lambda functions, focusing on improving performance, reliability, and extensibility.
  3. Data Processing and Integration: Refine and expand our suite of AWS Lambda functions to support data processing and integration needs.
  4. Data-Driven Decision Making: Collaborate with investment partners and investment managers to evolve data-driven tools, continuously improving our ability to surface promising investment opportunities.
  5. Portfolio Analysis and Reporting: Lead the ongoing analysis and reporting of the Airtree portfolio companies, streamlining processes for more efficient, accurate, and insightful quarterly reporting.
  6. Dashboard Iteration: Iterate on Airtree's existing dashboards and insight packs, ensuring they continue to provide actionable insights as Airtree's needs evolve.
  7. Proactive Improvement: Proactively identify areas for improvement in our data models and infrastructure, implementing best practices and leveraging emerging technologies where appropriate.
  8. Data Champion: Champion data-driven decision-making across the organisation, helping stakeholders leverage our data assets more effectively.

Salary Range: AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per year, depending on experience.
