Operating Theatre and Central Sterilising Department Team Leader

This role provides a unique opportunity to lead and manage the nursing department in an exciting hospital environment.

The Nursing Department Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the nursing department, including managing staff, coordinating patient care, and ensuring that all necessary protocols are followed.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage the nursing department, ensuring that all staff members are working efficiently and effectively.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, as required.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Current nursing registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, excellent written, verbal communication skills, and ability to negotiate resolutions and manage conflict.
- Proven ability to create and maintain a positive workplace culture and articulate and achieve a vision for nursing services in the critical care environment.
- Demonstrated focus on service excellence through the ability to read and act on issues quickly, decisively, and effectively.
- Tertiary qualifications in nursing and/or health management, with minimum of five years post-graduate nursing clinical experience.
