Operating Theatre Nurse Unit Manager

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced nursing professional to lead the nursing team in the operating theatre and central sterilising department. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team of nurses to deliver high-quality patient care.
Job Description:- Manage and coordinate the nursing team in the operating theatre and central sterilising department
- Monitor and manage business and management functions and processes of the ward or unit
- Lead by example and demonstrate capability through attitude, skills, behaviour, and attributes
- Demonstrate broad nursing/midwifery experience and knowledge
- Understand and accept that patients are the central focus of service delivery
- Demonstrate professional integrity; ethical conduct, accountability, advocacy, enabling others
- Cultivate collaborative relationships and effective teamwork
- Current nursing/midwifery registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, excellent written, verbal communication skills and ability to negotiate resolutions and manage conflict
- Proven ability to create and maintain a positive workplace culture and articulate and achieve a vision for nursing services in the critical care environment
- Demonstrated focus on service excellence through the ability to read and act on issues quickly, decisively and effectively
- Tertiary qualifications in nursing and/or health management with minimum of five years post graduate nursing clinical experience
- 5 weeks annual leave
