Job Overview


Centorrino Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our Infrastructure team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the ownership and management of our multitenant VMware private cloud platform.



Estimated Salary: AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per year



Key Responsibilities:



  • Ownership and day-to-day management of the multitenant VMware private cloud platform, including security patching and software updates
  • Management of ancillary services such as Veeam Backup, Monitoring, Hardware, etc.
  • Identifying problems and areas for improvement, investigating options to resolve or improve
  • Planning and implementing projects for improvement or capability expansion
  • Exploring new technologies that could benefit the business or platform
  • Implementing and enforcing security best practices to protect client systems and data
  • Maintaining compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and client requirements
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation for systems, procedures, and configurations
  • Providing guidance to other team members to ensure overall technical competency and knowledge
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to streamline operations


Requirements:



  • Able and willing to obtain an NV1 security clearance
  • Extensive experience in the systems space, preferably in a similar multi-tenant IAAS environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to IT and non-IT stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and commitment to meeting tight deadlines
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and adapt to a rapidly changing business environment to prioritize accordingly
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks


Must-have experience with the following technologies:



  • VMWare ESXi, vSphere
  • Linux operating systems/applications; specifically Debian/Ubuntu


Desirable experience with the following technologies:



  • VMWare Cloud Director, Cloud Director Availability, SDDC Manager, NSX-T, Aria Suite
  • Veeam Backup product suite; Enterprise Manager, Service Provider Console, Cloud Connect, Backup for 365
  • Windows operating systems/applications; Server 2019/2022, SQL, DCs, DNS
  • Server and SAN hardware, fibre channel storage networking
  • DNS, PKI, Scripting, APIs
  • Networking and Security fundamentals
