Infrastructure Systems Engineer

Centorrino Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Systems Engineer to join our Infrastructure team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our private cloud platform, including security patching and software updates.

  • Ownership of the multitenant VMWare private cloud platform and its availability.
  • Day-to-day management, including security patching and software updates.
  • Management of ancillary services, such as Veeam Backup and Monitoring.
  • Identifying problems and areas for improvement, investigating options to resolve or improve.
  • Planning and implementing projects for improvement or capability expansion.
  • Exploring new technologies that could benefit the business or platform.
  • Implementing and enforcing security best practices to protect client systems and data.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and client requirements.
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation for systems, procedures, and configurations.
  • Providing guidance to other team members to ensure the organisation's overall technical competency and knowledge.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to streamline operations.
Requirements
  • Must be able and willing to obtain an NV1 security clearance.
  • Extensive experience in the systems space, preferably in a similar multi-tenant IAAS environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to IT and non-IT stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and a commitment to meeting tight deadlines.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and adapt to a rapidly changing business environment to prioritise accordingly.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks.
Must-have experience with
  • VMWare ESXi, vSphere.
  • Linux operating systems/applications, specifically Debian/Ubuntu.
Desirable experience with
  • VMWare Cloud Director, Cloud Director Availability, SDDC Manager, NSX-T, Aria Suite.
  • Veeam Backup product suite, Enterprise Manager, Service Provider Console, Cloud Connect, Backup for 365.
  • Windows operating systems/applications, Server 2019/2022, SQL, DCs, DNS.
  • Server and SAN hardware, fibre channel storage networking.
  • DNS, PKI, Scripting, APIs.
  • Networking and Security fundamentals.
