About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader Learning and Development to join our team at the Tasmanian Government. As a key member of our workforce, you will play a critical role in leading the development and delivery of high-quality learning services that support the strategic objectives of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify learning needs and develop training programs that meet those needs.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the learning and development team, including monitoring service profitability, risk, and issues.
  • Provide instructional design expertise to scope, design, deliver, and evaluate virtual and face-to-face learning activities.
  • Undertake reviews of training plans, learning materials, and course delivery to ensure they meet the requirements of our organization and the identified learning needs.
  • Coordinate contract management requirements and support the onboarding of new training partners.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to foster a positive, solutions-oriented, collaborative, and positive workplace culture.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree or post-graduate qualifications in a relevant discipline.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and/or facilitation experience.
