At Calvary Care, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced healthcare leader to join our senior clinical leadership team as Deputy Director of Clinical Services - Inpatient Areas. This role is responsible for the daily operational management of inpatient wards, with a focus on implementing the ACHS National Standards and delivering patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the successful operational management of inpatient areas.
  • Support and lead the inpatient clinical manager team to implement, evaluate, and maintain patient safety and quality through compliance with the National Safety and Quality Health Services Standards (NSQHSS).
  • Ensure a focus on providing a high standard of patient experience across all aspects of clinical service delivery.
  • In collaboration with the Director of Clinical Services, develop and support key clinical workforce challenges (recruitment and retention) strategies.
  • Focus on change management and implementation of best practice.
  • Recognize and act in accordance with the Mission and Values of Calvary Care.
  • Opportunity to act in the Director of Clinical Services role during periods of leave.
  • Play a key role in developing and managing service delivery across the hospital services, including resources and financial management, and create an environment that drives the achievement of the organization's vision, strategy, and business plans.

What You Bring:

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
  • Minimum five (5) years' post-graduate nursing experience.
  • Senior leadership experience in healthcare.
  • Demonstrated outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
  • Well-developed understanding of risk management and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Experience in managing human resources.
  • Understanding of KPIs that impact hospital performance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Supports and exemplifies good workplace culture and development of staff.
