As a Disability Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives by providing emotional support, assisting with daily tasks, and promoting autonomy.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing clients' needs and developing tailored care plans
  • Offering emotional support and companionship
  • Assisting with domestic tasks, such as cooking, cleaning, and shopping
  • Helping clients manage finances and engage in leisure activities
  • Coordinating drop-in sessions and accompanying clients to appointments
  • Training clients in life skills and administering medication
  • Collecting data and statistics, and undertaking administrative duties
  • Liaising with support workers, social workers, and healthcare professionals

Requirements:

  • Current first aid and CPR certification
  • Working With Children's Check
  • Driver's license and car with insurance

Preferred qualifications: Certificate 3 in disability services.
