As a seasoned construction professional, you will play a pivotal role in driving our business forward by preparing detailed cost estimates for various infrastructure and construction projects. Your expertise in site construction methodologies will be invaluable in compiling comprehensive cost estimates that take into account all necessary resources, including equipment, labour, and materials.


About the Role
  • You will work closely with key internal teams to conduct thorough technical reviews of cost-based estimates, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse RFT documentation, scope of works, drawings, and project-specific specifications to ensure accurate assessments.
  • Conduct detailed material take-offs, labour, plant, and equipment cost assessments to inform your estimates.
  • Liaise with internal resources to compile site construction methodologies that support detailed cost-based estimates.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for internal technical reviews and external submissions.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients, internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience as a construction estimator in the NSW/Australian market.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex project information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present estimates and proposals to clients.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Desirable: experience with supply and installation of structural steel and architectural finishes.
  • Sound knowledge of AS/NZS 5131 and TfNSW specifications B201 (CC2/CC3) is highly regarded.
