About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Psychologist to join our team as a Supervising Psychologist at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) Forensic Psychology clinic in Sydney.

Job Summary

This is a part-time role, working three days a week (7 hours per day), providing supervision and training to provisional psychologists. The successful candidate will have expertise in forensic psychology and be able to manage learning and evaluate development of provisional psychologists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group supervision to Master of Psychology program students
  • Manage learning and evaluate development of provisional psychologists by observing, guiding and providing feedback on interactions with clients
  • Develop and implement learning opportunities and training support
  • Maintain a client caseload or oversee caseloads of provisional psychologists
  • Participate in educational activities and provide feedback on clinic effectiveness and provisional psychologist performance
  • Coordinate office administration, including placement coordination into external sites
  • Develop clinic protocols and resources
  • Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Registered Psychologist with AHPRA endorsement in an applicable field of psychology, such as Forensic or Clinical Psychology
  • Board-approved supervisor with post-qualification clinical experience
  • Strong psychology skills, including cultural consideration, risk assessment, and clinical intervention
  • Strong interpersonal skills, especially for effective feedback provision
  • Able to work collaboratively and productively within a team, autonomously managing competing demands
