The University of New South Wales is seeking a highly skilled Forensic Psychology Clinical Lead to join their team at the UNSW Forensic Psychology clinic in Surry Hills.

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum (full-time, pro rata for part-time), depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

This is a three-day-a-week role (7 hours per day) that will involve contributing to the supervision and training of provisional psychologists. The successful candidate will provide individual and group supervision, manage learning and evaluate development of provisional psychologists, and maintain a client caseload or oversee caseloads of provisional psychologists.

  • Supervise and train provisional psychologists to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to work effectively with clients.
  • Develop and implement clinical protocols and resources to support the work of provisional psychologists.
  • Conduct educational activities and provide feedback to the Clinic Director on the effectiveness of the clinic and the performance of provisional psychologists.
  • Coordinate office administration, including placement coordination into external placement sites.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A registered psychologist endorsement in an applicable field of psychology, such as Forensic or Clinical Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology.
  • Demonstrated post-qualification clinical experience and board-approved supervisor status.
  • Strong psychology skills, including cultural consideration of clients, risk assessment, and clinical intervention.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly in relation to providing effective feedback.
  • The ability to work collaboratively and productively within a team, and to work autonomously and independently to manage competing demands.
