Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Air Operations Director to lead our day-to-day air operations. This pivotal role will ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of air services across various platforms.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the air operations team, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies
  • Oversee and optimize team rostering for pilots, aircrew officers, and engineering personnel
  • Manage real-time flight following, including tracking and monitoring of aircraft
  • Develop and implement training programs, including induction, recurrent training, HUET, and simulator sessions
  • Monitor operational KPIs, identify trends, and implement early intervention measures as required
  • Champion a proactive safety culture and lead preventative HSE practices across the operation

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Aviation Management or relevant industry experience would be an advantage
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in senior operational leadership roles
  • Extensive experience in aviation operations, ideally with exposure to both rotary wing and fixed wing environments
  • Proficiency in using operational tracking systems and reporting tools
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to drive operational performance, identify inefficiencies, and implement sustainable solutions
  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience managing operations in time-critical and high-pressure environments
  • Superior customer service orientation and a proactive, solutions-driven mindset
