Lead Restaurant Professional

We are seeking an accomplished and experienced restaurant professional to lead our food and beverage team on a full-time basis at our hotel.

As the lead, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient daily floor operations of the restaurant and bar. You will also manage the day-to-day profitability, presentation, and operation of the restaurant and bar.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the company's food and beverage features to promote to clients
  • Manage, lead, and motivate staff to ensure a high-performing team culture is maintained
  • Work closely with the general manager and marketing department to develop marketing material and promotions for the food and beverage department
  • Roster according to department needs
  • Create budgets and monitor financial performance of the food and beverage department
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of three years of managerial experience in a similar role
  • Possession of a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification, ensuring full compliance with industry regulations and promoting a safe and responsible drinking environment
  • Proven experience in managing staff, with a strong ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team to achieve departmental goals and maintain exceptional service standards
  • Expertise in generating and implementing innovative revenue-building strategies and initiatives
  • Comprehensive knowledge of alcoholic beverages, including product knowledge, industry trends, and regulations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with team members, customers, and senior management, fostering a collaborative and transparent work environment
  • Strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service with an unwavering positive attitude
  • High level of self-motivation, confidence, and initiative, with the ability to work autonomously and make sound decisions under pressure
  • A Diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred but not essential
  • Flexibility and availability to work evenings, weekends, and other peak periods as required, demonstrating commitment to meeting the needs of the business and ensuring smooth operations
