The Chief Engineer oversees the daily operations of the Engineering department, focusing on maintenance, repairs, property presentation, and OH&S compliance.
- Prioritizing repairs and maintenance across the property.
- Managing the Engineering department budget and preparing reports in a timely manner.
- Leading the Engineering team to ensure maximum efficiency of labor, wage control, and performance management.
- Participating in recruitment, induction, and training of new staff.

Candidates must demonstrate:
- Trade qualifications are essential. Electrical or Plumbing qualifications are highly regarded.
- Previous experience working in an Engineering department of a large-scale hotel/resort is desirable.
- A minimum of 5 years' management experience, preferably gained from working in a hotel/resort.
- Demonstrated experience in working within budget.
- A current manual motor vehicle driver's license and forklift license.
