Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated FIFO Service Technician to enhance our Bosch Rexroth operations. This role involves a structured roster on a fly-in/fly-out basis, addressing customer service requests while advocating for the sale of Bosch Rexroth components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identifies and promotes solutions to improve customer production and maintenance needs.
  • Conducts repairs, installations, commissioning, and performance testing on customer equipment, including Hydraulic Power Units and Actuators.
  • Maintains accurate records of all tools and equipment assigned to the technician.
  • Ensures all tools and equipment are kept in optimal condition, ensuring 100% availability.
  • Keeps the service vehicle organized, clean, and roadworthy at all times.
  • Provides technical assistance to Bosch Rexroth and customer facilities as needed, which may involve interstate and international travel.
  • Maintains physical readiness to undertake demanding tasks and communicates any health issues that may affect job performance.
  • Contributes positively to operational efficiency and seeks opportunities for process improvements.
  • Performs additional duties as required to meet Bosch Rexroth's operational needs.

Qualifications:

  • Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • Possess a minimum Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent trade qualification.
  • Demonstrated expertise in major hydraulic components is essential.
  • At least 5 years of experience in hydraulic field service or maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently, with a strong commitment to reliability.
  • High attention to detail and a focus on quality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications for reporting.
  • Strong communication skills are required.
  • Valid Driver's License is necessary.
