About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our team as a Field Service Technician in Perth. As a Field Service Technician, you will work across multiple customer sites, gaining exposure to the latest technology and automation. Our ideal candidate is a problem solver with excellent fault-finding skills, creating partnerships with customers to provide solutions to their business needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 24/7 national support, covering contract repairs, preventative maintenance, installations, and emergency breakdown services for Dematic customers in the Perth region.
  • Work unsupervised, making decisions and being results-driven.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their business needs and provide solutions.
  • Participate in an on-call roster and be available to work overtime on weekends and public holidays as needed.
Requirements
  • Mechanical Fitter trade qualifications (mandatory).
  • Restricted Electrical licence, or 'A' Grade Electrical License (would be highly advantageous).
  • PLC experience with Siemens S7 and/or Scada WIN CC.
  • Experience within automation environments (conveyors) and material handling equipment (advantageous).
  • Experience with computerised maintenance systems (MEX, Maximo, SAP).
  • Experience with pneumatic systems and components.
  • Experience with hydraulic systems and components.
  • Maintenance experience within high-speed production facilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Strong customer focus and attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of OHS requirements and adopt safe work practices.
