Position Overview
We are excited to announce an opening for a FIFO Service Technician within our Bosch Rexroth team. This position entails a scheduled roster on a fly-in/fly-out basis, addressing customer service requests while promoting the sale of Bosch Rexroth components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively identifies and promotes enhancement solutions to improve customer production and maintenance needs.
- Conducts site repairs, installations, commissioning, and performance testing on customer equipment and systems, including Hydraulic Power Units, Rotary and Linear Actuators, and Accumulators.
- Maintains accurate records of all equipment and tools assigned to the technician's vehicle.
- Ensures all equipment and tools are kept clean, safe, and fully operational at all times.
- Maintains the vehicle in a clean, organized, safe, and roadworthy condition.
- Provides technical support to other Bosch Rexroth and customer facilities as needed, which may involve interstate and international travel, as well as short-term remote assignments.
- Maintains physical capability to undertake demanding assignments and informs the Supervisor of any health issues that may hinder safe execution of duties.
- Contributes positively to business operations and seeks opportunities for process improvements.
- Performs additional duties as required to meet Bosch Rexroth's business and operational needs.
Qualifications:
Essential Requirements:
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Minimum Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent trade qualification.
- Demonstrated high-level technical knowledge of major hydraulic components.
- At least 5 years of experience in hydraulic field service or maintenance and fault-finding of hydraulic systems.
- Able to work independently, demonstrating commitment and reliability.
- Strong focus on quality and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications for reporting purposes.
- Effective communication skills.
- Current valid Driver's License.
