Skechers, a leading global footwear brand, is seeking an experienced Merchandise Planner to join its team.

Job Description:

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  1. Budget formation and maintenance of merchandise financial plans (MFPs/WSSIs) in consultation with buyers and the buying & planning management teams.
  2. Management of all reporting, product, and brand analysis, both weekly and seasonally.
  3. Maximising return on inventory, closing stock management, markdowns, and aged stock.
  4. All OTB requirements, option plans, budgeted inventory levels, and forecasts.
  5. Product analysis and preparation to facilitate and identify sales growth opportunities/issues in the business.
  6. Monthly replan (of MFP), working with buyers for product insights, to maintain current, accurate merchandise plans including OTB, markdown, sales, GP, and stock forecasts.
  7. Product and distribution recommendations as an output of MPF replans and ongoing reporting and analysis.
  8. Monthly tracking of sales and related information to compare with budget, plan, and prior year.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have:

  • Demonstrated minimum 5 years' experience in a merchandise planning role.
  • Demonstrated ability in a high-volume retail industry.
  • Degree in a related discipline (preferred but not essential).
  • Experience managing and developing a team of results-driven planning team members.
  • Strong financial and numeracy skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
