Job Title: Telephone & Online Counsellor

We are seeking highly skilled and compassionate Telephone and Online Service Clinicians to join our team. As a key member of our service network, you will provide high-quality forum moderation, telephone and/or web-based assessment, counselling, referral, and consultancy services to the general public and health professionals.

  • Key areas include alcohol and other drug telephone helpline programs, gambling helpline programs, and online counselling and support services.
  • Counsellors work collaboratively to improve gambling, alcohol, and other drug policy and practice.

Our ideal candidate possesses relevant qualifications combined with demonstrated knowledge of contemporary support and treatment interventions for people affected by alcohol and other drugs and/or problem gambling. Superior communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work with diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, are essential.

This role requires flexibility, with the capacity to work a variety of shifts across a 24/7 roster. We strongly recommend healthcare workers follow COVID vaccination recommendations and seasonal vaccination against influenza is mandatory.
