Senior Facilities Operations Lead

The role of Facilities Manager is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our property. This position requires a high degree of technical knowledge and leadership skills to oversee maintenance and engineering functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Maintenance and Engineering team to meet property goals.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans to maintain high standards for a positive guest experience.
- Manage the Maintenance Request System, analyzing frequent issues and implementing improvements as needed.
- Delegate general repairs and maintenance tasks within the engineering team or with contractors.
- Drive resource management improvements and conservation initiatives.
- Conduct routine testing of fire alarms, emergency lighting, and other safety systems as required by local regulations.
- Liaise with the Director of Engineering and Finance regarding contractor use, expenditure control, and quality assurance.
- Ensure cost-effective and hygienic waste removal and monitor areas for cleanliness and odor-free conditions.
- Collaborate closely with front desk and housekeeping for efficient room turnarounds and inventory management.
Requirements
- Qualified Engineer (preferred)
- Proven experience as a Chief Engineer/Facilities Manager or similar role.
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems (Electrical, HVAC, Mechanical etc).
- Knowledge of health & safety practices and Australian Standards related to facilities management.
- Body/Owners Corporation Experience.
- Strong project Management experience.
