This role involves overseeing maintenance and operations for a historic building and preparing for the transition to a new purpose-built asset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance Oversight: Manage maintenance teams, oversee contractors, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Asset Transition: Coordinate the handover of the existing asset to the new one.
- Contractor Management: Oversee external service providers and ensure contract performance.
- Safety and Risk Management: Implement safety plans and ensure compliance in a construction environment.
- Team Coordination: Support team members and coordinate maintenance activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing small teams.
- Hands-on maintenance skills in carpentry, plumbing, and general repairs.
- Physical capability to perform manual work.
- Experience with asset management systems.
- Problem-solving skills in dynamic environments.
- Previous facilities management experience, preferably in residential or campus settings.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
