Smart Maintenance Engineers are in high demand across various sectors, responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of infrastructure. In this role, you will have the opportunity to grow and develop your skills while working with a leading provider of metering services.

The Metering team requires individuals who are quick to learn and eager to grasp new tasks and opportunities. A strong geographical knowledge of local and surrounding areas is essential for this role. The ideal candidate will also possess excellent customer service skills and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities include visiting properties throughout the day to complete tasks such as reconnecting gas and electric smart meters, changing SIM cards, and re-joining smart devices to the network. You will also be required to complete site surveys and other support tasks that require a field-based engineer to visit properties.

Requirements
  • You must be located in one of the postcode areas BH, PO, SP, DT.
  • Good geographical knowledge of your local and surrounding areas is key for this role.
  • Quick to learn and eager to grasp new tasks and opportunities.
  • Ability to use hand tools effectively.
  • Experience with handheld tools is important.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and climb ladders while ensuring health and safety requirements are met.
  • Self-motivated and organised, as this is a lone working role.
  • Dedicated to providing excellent customer service.
