Senior Cloud Engineer (Full-time Permanent)

Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum + Super

About the Role

This pivotal position involves leading the optimisation, automation, and security of cloud services with a focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You'll drive the migration and management of workloads and services from AWS to GCP, leveraging your expertise in both platforms to enhance our cloud strategy.

You will:

  • Leverage extensive experience with GCP technologies to drive automation, security, and optimisation of cloud services
  • Migrate and manage workloads and services from AWS to GCP, ensuring seamless integration
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate on-premise technology with cloud-based solutions
  • Stay at the forefront of emerging cloud technologies, continuously innovating to enhance our cloud infrastructure

Key Skills and Qualifications

We're seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer with:

  • Extensive experience with GCP technologies, including automation tools like Terraform and Ansible
  • Familiarity with AWS and ability to upskill across platforms
  • Strong experience with Linux systems, performance monitoring tools, and version control using Git
  • Proven problem-solving skills, ability to analyse complex issues, and design creative solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
