At Catholic Healthcare, we are seeking a compassionate Cook to join our team at Bodington Wentworth Falls.

This role offers a permanent part-time position, working Tuesday to Friday from 8am to 4pm, with a competitive hourly pay rate and benefits including paid parental leave, long service leave after 5 years, and a fitness passport gym benefit.

About the Role:
  • Preparation of Fresh Meals:
    • Prepare nutritious meals for residents, taking into account their dietary needs and preferences.
    • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in the kitchen.
  • Kitchen Management:
    • Oversee the effective management of kitchen resources, including equipment and food supplies within your approved budget.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Manage an established team of catering assistants, ensuring seamless meal service to our aged care residents.

Requirements:

  • A Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) is required for this role.
  • Basic Food Safety Practices Certificate and good understanding of food safety practices, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene are also essential.
  • Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in an aged care setting, would be highly beneficial.
