
Culturally Sensitive Residential Support Specialist

This is a key opportunity for an individual to make a positive impact on students in a residential college setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and care for students in a dormitory environment
- Plan and implement leisure activities for secondary students
- Develop strong interpersonal skills and written/oral communication abilities
- Work effectively independently and as part of a team
Requirements:
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with work rights
- Obtain a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and Screening Clearance Number
- Hold a current Working with Children Check
- Work according to rostered hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
- Acquire required qualifications and training within six months
Eligibility Criteria:
Being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background is considered essential for this position under section 50(d) of the Western Australian Equal Opportunity Act.
