We are seeking a highly skilled Social Worker to join our team at Central Australian Aboriginal Congress in the Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) Service.
The SEWB team provides comprehensive care to clients, embedding three streams of care: medical, therapeutic, and cultural and social support with intensive case management as required.
The successful candidate will provide psychosocial supports aimed at restoring socio-economic and cultural functioning to clients referred to Congress' Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals and their families to access evidence-based Social Work methodologies, including screening and assessments, case management, advocacy, outreach, supportive counselling, and group work.
- Facilitate access to community services such as employment and other social opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with the SEWB team to provide comprehensive care to clients.
What You'll Need
- Qualifications in Social Work or a related field.
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
- Strong understanding of the social and emotional wellbeing needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
