Job Title: Maintenance Manager

Opal Fibre Packaging, a leading manufacturer of corrugated packaging products, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team at our Barnawartha site in Victoria.

This is a unique opportunity for a motivated and results-driven individual to manage the engineering and maintenance functions, ensuring plant and equipment are maintained to optimal levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Engineering and Maintenance teams to achieve safe, efficient, and effective manufacturing of quality packaging products.
  • Lead and mentor teams to foster a positive and collaborative culture around proactive and reactive engineering and maintenance work.
  • Review ongoing costs around projects and labour, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Focus on positive safety behaviours and outcomes, promoting a safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years previous experience in engineering management, maintenance planning, or asset management.
  • Trade qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering, or a degree in engineering.
  • Experience in managing and leading a team towards successful achievement of optimum reliability outcomes.
  • Experience in staff performance management, including counselling and disciplinary processes.
  • Advanced skills with computerised management software and other computer software (Word, Excel, and SAP).
  • Well-developed communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
