About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires high-level leadership and management skills to drive quality, safety, and improvement agendas across the organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and implementing local and integrated quality improvement and patient safety programs, supporting local management teams to achieve measurable improvements in process performance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare leadership, quality improvement, and patient safety, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be able to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective health systems and models of care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accreditation Support: Supporting the organisation in achieving accreditation under national safety and quality standards
  • Culture Development: Promoting a positive workplace culture that values respect, inclusion, and teamwork
  • Service Innovation: Working with departments and craft groups to contribute to service development and innovation across the organisation
  • Professional Development: Attending relevant training, supervision, and professional development activities
  • Quality Improvement: Supporting continuous quality improvement and safety programs across the hospital
  • Collaboration: Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective health systems and models of care
  • Patient-Centred Care: Supporting the health system to provide high-quality, patient-centred care in alignment with organisational clinical standards
  • Research and Education: Supporting and contributing to clinical teaching and research initiatives with the University of Tasmania
