The key objective of a Contract Administrator is to effectively manage contracts and subcontracts for infrastructure projects. To excel in this position, one must focus on supply chain management, tender strategy, and procurement.
Main Responsibilities- Ensure adherence to contractual provisions and notice time frames for head and subcontract agreements.
- Maintain accurate registers of commercial clarification, correspondence, variation, site instruction, extension of time claims, and procurement information.
- Understand tender strategy with regards to procurement and supply chain engagement.
This role involves compiling quantity take-offs/bills of materials, administering contracts and subcontracts, and maintaining a solid understanding of cost control and reporting. Strong attention to detail and accuracy are essential for success in this position.
About You- Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commerce, Law, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering – Ideal.
- At least 5+ years of experience in a similar position with a Civil Contractor.
- DIDO or FIFO experience on large-scale remote infrastructure projects – Essential.
- Experience in compiling quantity take-offs/bills of materials for packages – Desirable.
