Job Description

The role of Facilities Stream Leader is a pivotal one in ensuring that Council's infrastructure and facilities meet the strategic and operational needs of the North Burnett region.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality asset management strategies, overseeing maintenance and capital works, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

This role requires you to work closely with internal and external stakeholders, manage projects and budgets, and ensure compliance with relevant standards and legislation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement infrastructure/facility asset management strategies, plans, and programs to enhance organisational capacity.
  • Provide technical advice and assistance to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct audits, property assessments, and general inspections to ensure infrastructure/facility asset maintenance and upgrades comply with strategic outcomes.
  • Manage and monitor capital and maintenance projects, including quotations/tenders, contracts, and contractor performance.
  • Lead change, drive business process improvements, and efficiencies.
Required Skills and Qualifications

We are seeking a proactive and strategic thinker with a strong background in Property or Asset Management. Ideally, you have at least five years of leadership experience and hold relevant qualifications in disciplines such as Building and Construction or Project Management.

High-level communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential for this role, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and lead teams to achieve results.
