Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Labourer to join our Civil Works team in Biggenden. As a Labourer, you will play a vital role in delivering new roadworks and maintaining critical infrastructure for the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with road and drainage works, setting up safe traffic control zones, and operating various tools and equipment.
  • Collaborate with a supportive and dedicated crew to achieve project goals.
  • Contribute to practical outcomes for the community by ensuring roads and infrastructure meet high standards.

Requirements:

  • Hold a current 'C' Class driver's licence.
  • Have a valid Construction Induction (White Card) and Traffic Management Implementation Program licence.
  • Be physically fit and able to carry out manual labour in challenging conditions.
  • Have good communication skills, basic literacy, numeracy, and computer/device use.
  • Be willing to undertake training and follow procedures.
  • Pass pre-employment medical assessments, including drug and alcohol screening, to confirm fitness to safely perform the role.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Hold an HR Class licence or higher.
  • Have civil construction experience, ideally within a local government setting.
  • Verify competence operating machinery like chainsaws, rollers, or loaders.
  • Hold First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Currently studying towards a relevant qualification.
