About the Position
Ventia is looking for a dedicated Senior Bid Writer to significantly contribute to our ANZ Transport division. In this role, you will create exceptional bid documentation and collaborate with various teams on multi-authored submissions to adhere to stringent deadlines.
This is a hybrid position that offers the flexibility to work remotely as well as from one of our North Sydney, Parramatta, Melbourne, Brisbane, or Perth locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Craft high-quality bid submissions that integrate essential content and core messages.
- Work closely with subject matter experts to formulate section responses.
- Develop targeted bid narratives through research, interviews, and discussions.
- Conduct thorough editing and revisions within tight deadlines.
- Collaborate with the bid team to establish Win Themes and ensure their integration throughout the bid responses.
- Facilitate peer reviews for all written materials.
- Assess written content to guarantee alignment with bid strategies and client expectations.
- Monitor the progress of written documents to ensure timely reviews and submissions.
- Oversee or guide external writers as needed for larger bid initiatives.
- Lead the coordination of submissions when necessary.

About You:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in preparing complex bids within a tier 1 bidding environment.
- Demonstrated professional writing and editing capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in the context of bidding.
- Strategic thinking abilities that facilitate the identification of win themes and client drivers.
- Proficiency in MS Word formatting, including the use of Styles and macro templates.
- Familiarity with the infrastructure sector, encompassing asset management, road construction, and maintenance operations.
- Able to collaborate effectively within fast-paced teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional writing/editing certification.
- Tertiary education in marketing, journalism, or a related field.
- Training in bid processes, preferably Shipley or Miller Heiman methodologies.
- Experience in strategy, win theme development, and content creation.
- Capability to create supporting imagery and graphics.
- Proficiency in MS PowerPoint formatting.
- Experience with Adobe InDesign or Canva.
