About the Opportunity
HR Partners by Randstad is seeking a skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our team in Brisbane's CBD. This 6-month temporary position offers a great opportunity for an individual looking to work behind the scenes and focus on risk management, systems updates, and legislative compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation and review of the Technical Services Health and Safety Strategy as part of the broader requirements.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of health and safety plans, procedures, systems, and processes that support business outcomes.
- Support the development, coordination, and implementation of an auditing schedule to facilitate continual improvement of the Technical Services HSEMS.
- Assist in the development of statistical reports on the performance of the HSEMS and associated projects to facilitate management review and continual improvement.
- Understand and incorporate project and operational risk assessment processes into management plans and facilitate workshops to characterize relevant risks and controls.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of health and safety programs that support management and staff in meeting legislative compliance and strategic objectives.
- Assist in the review of the training needs analysis for the Business Unit liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure its ongoing effectiveness.
- Liaise with key stakeholders to influence and contribute to the strategies for the work health and safety agenda.
- Provide support in ensuring the Technical Services HSEMS is developed in compliance with relevant legislation where required.
About You
We are seeking an individual with a relevant Cert IV/diploma/degree in WHS, OHS or a similar field. A relevant qualification in training and assessment is desirable. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of WHS legislation and its application, experience in a similar role, and a focus on systems/risk management and processes.
