Cloud Security Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team in delivering Amazon Web Services (AWS) security and compliance projects to clients.

Main Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients to design and implement AWS security and compliance solutions aligned with agreed scope, industry standards, and CyberCX best practices
  • Provide expert advice on cloud security and compliance to clients
  • Develop technical solutions that meet defined requirements
  • Author high-quality documentation for client stakeholders
  • Facilitate client meetings and workshops
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to manage client expectations
  • Contribute to the development of intellectual property and repeatable solutions
  • Collaborate across practices within CyberCX to add value

Necessary Skills and Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Relevant certification and/or hands-on experience with AWS
  • At least 3 years' experience in implementing and supporting cloud services, preferably in a global consulting firm or large technology company
  • Experience with multi-cloud environments and hybrid cloud solutions
  • Understanding of cloud security principles, including Identity and Access Management (IAM), encryption, firewalls, and security best practices
  • Experience migrating workloads to AWS and/or VMC on AWS
  • Solid experience working with Unix/Windows workloads
  • Good understanding of networking and cloud connectivity
  • Understanding of automation, DevSecOps toolchains, Infrastructure as Code, and scripting languages such as Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation, or Python, Bash, or PowerShell to automate cloud deployments and optimize operations
  • Preferably, experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker, ECS, and EKS
