Job Opportunity:

Family Law Paralegal Role

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support the legal work of the firm.

  • Draft and edit legal documents and correspondence to ensure accuracy and professionalism.
  • Prepare briefs to counsel in a timely manner, maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
  • Liaise with the Family Law Court to ensure seamless communication and case progression.
  • Conduct online searches to stay up-to-date with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Manage diaries, emails, and appointments for the team, ensuring efficient use of time.
  • Organize mediation sessions with clients and other parties involved in the dispute.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Handle billing processes accurately and efficiently, maintaining transparency and accountability.
  • Take dictaphone notes and file electronically, adhering to security protocols.

Working Relationships:

  • You will be working closely with two experienced family lawyers who are dedicated to delivering exceptional results.

Requirements:

  • We are seeking a paralegal with at least 12 months of experience in a law firm, preferably in family law. Legal assistants with family law experience are also encouraged to apply.
  • Candidates should possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
  • A professional presentation is essential when meeting with clients, reflecting positively on the firm's values and reputation.

Bonus Information:

  • Negotiable salary package dependent upon experience (up to $90,000)
