Job Title: Senior Solutions Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Solutions Engineer to join our team. As a trusted advisor to top-tier customers, you will be responsible for delivering end-to-end value propositions for web security and performance.

  • Leverage Cloudflare's product offerings to empower customers in their security adoption journey.
  • Design security controls aligned with Cloudflare's Security and Performance product suites.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to educate prospective customers on achieving success on the Cloudflare platform.
  • Apply technical knowledge to architect security solutions meeting business, IT, regulatory, and compliance needs.
  • Serve as a Voice of the Customer, sharing insights and best practices with Global Engineering and Product teams to influence the roadmap.

Key Qualifications:

  • 7-10+ years of experience in pre-sales SE roles;
  • Relationship Building: Proven track record of building deep technical relationships with senior security executives in large or highly strategic accounts.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to solve customer security, compliance, and data protection problems through Cloudflare's technology stack.
  • Customer Focus: Customer-obsessed leader with an 'I will get it done' approach to solving customer challenges.
  • Value Realisation: Ability to understand customer business objectives and outcomes and leverage tech solutions to accomplish those outcomes.

Technical Requirements:

  • Understanding of how the internet works, including differences between TCP & UDP.
  • Knowledge of authoritative DNS, recursive DNS, firewalls, TLS, HTTP, and client-server quirks.
  • Experience with web application development, CSRF, XSS, SQLi defense, and regulatory requirements like PCI DSS, HIPAA, and SOC-2.
