About the Role

The Empire Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead building construction and upgrades in their Capital Works division. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for overseeing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Management: Develop and implement project management plans, evaluate procurement and delivery methodologies, and manage risks and value.
  • Project Briefing and Tendering: Prepare project briefs, terms of reference, and tender documents for consultants and contractors.
  • Design and Construction Management: Ensure design meets project requirements, statutory compliances, and value-for-money standards.
  • Tender Evaluation and Contract Management: Evaluate tenders, prepare contract documents, and manage contract administration.
  • Project Commissioning and Handover: Oversee project commissioning, handover documentation, and defect liability period.
  • Financial Management: Prepare fee proposals and achieve project profitability.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience in client-side building construction or upgrade project management in a comparable organization.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead project teams and manage internal and external stakeholders.
  • Education: Building construction-related education or equivalent.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Contract Law and Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with contract law concepts, building construction industry practices, and roles and responsibilities of team members and stakeholders.
