Field Transport Officer Job Description

As a critical member of our frontline management team, you will be an integral part of our network's performance monitoring and incident response.

You will operate independently or as part of a small team, working closely with stakeholders including emergency services, government agencies, and contractors to ensure the smooth operation of our bus network.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring network performance and reporting on incidents affecting bus operations
  • Representing us during incidents/accidents and interacting with the public in a professional manner
  • Performing asset management, maintenance, and repair tasks to maintain the condition of our assets
  • Providing excellent customer service to passengers and stakeholders through proactive communication and issue resolution
  • Assisting with charter movements and special events while maintaining safety standards
  • Conducting revenue protection across the bus network to prevent unauthorized access

The position requires the following skills and qualifications:

  • Hold a Heavy Rigid Licence (HR)
  • Working with Vulnerable People Card (WWVP) registration
  • Current First Aid Certificate or ability to obtain
  • Minimum one year's driving experience as a Bus Operator
