Personal Care Worker Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Worker to provide holistic, client-focused care in line with each client's tailored care plan.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, empathy for elderly clients, and the ability to work collaboratively with the client's care team.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Provide personal care and assist with daily activities, following the Client Care Plan
    • Work closely with Registered Nurses to deliver client-specific care, including personal hygiene, toileting, nutrition, mobility, and more
    • Identify client care needs and work collaboratively with the client's care team to ensure high-quality, holistic care
    • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and team members
    • Support clients with light housekeeping duties to promote independence, including laundry, cleaning, and meal preparation

Requirements:

  • Cert III in Aged Care/Disability (or equivalent)
  • Current Senior First Aid HLTAID011, CPR HLTAID009, and Manual Handling HLTWHS005 (with 3+ months until expiry)
  • A roadworthy and insured vehicle with a current driver's licence
  • Federal Police Clearance (within the last 6 months)
  • Willingness to travel and flexibility with shifts
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with empathy for elderly clients
